There are now two locations to enjoy.

Our original location is in the heart of Richmond’s historic Fan neighborhood.  Spoonbread Bistro Deux is located in the popular Short Pump area.

Relaxed Environment
When you come to Spoonbread we want everyone to feel at home and our food to speak for itself. Regardless of which location you are dining in, you can expect a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Buzz Worthy Dishes
While we love introducing new menu items our signature dishes remain the same. These dishes continue to receive press and our customers have come to expect to see them on our menu. The lobster pop tart, Pork Sriracha, and Collard Green Egg Roll, The Cat Sea Pig, and Smoked Duck to name a few.

Grow a Pear
Is one of the favorites on our cocktail menu. It consists of our homemade Pear Infused Rum, Kill Devil’s Honey Pecan Rum, Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur, and splash of freshly squeezed lime juice. If you are looking for something light, crisp, and has a citrus finish this cocktail is just for you.

Croque Madame
Buttery Brioche toast with sliced Edwards country ham, Gruyere cheese poached eggs covered in béchamel sauce served with potatoes hash
My Old Lady’s Pancakes
Hint of nutmeg and caramel makes this pancake special served with sausage, bacon or ham
Open Face Omelet
Peppers and onions, fried green tomatoes, spinach and with Monterey Jack
Chicken and Belgium Waffle
Fried corn flake crusted chicken breast, fried egg and smoked turkey bacon stacked with a Belgium waffle drizzled with maple syrup served with potatoes hash
The Carpetbagger Beef Tenderloin
Chesapeake Bay fried oysters on top 6 oz of beef tenderloin covered in Béarnaise sauce with mashed potato and charred asparagus
Black Molasses Roasted Duck Breast
With caramelized Brussels sprouts and caramel corn pudding, served under hickory smoked cloche
Bronzed Sea Bass
Marinated in shallots and lemon, with sautéed cabbage and leeks with fried oysters, on fried spoonbread, finished with lobster beurre blanc
Grilled Salt and Pepper Strip Steak
With whipped Arizona potatoes, cut roasted okra and asparagus, finished with a port demi, set upon a Himalayan salt block
